Blackburn, South Yorkshire probably doesn't exist
editThe Yorkshire counties are near Lancashire where the known town of Blackburn is located. I doubt another town with the same name exists so close, and think it would have been easy for the town to have been mislocated into the wrong county. Someone with knowledge of that part of England should fix this -- it's impossible to prove a negative. I did see some kind of school named Blackburn in South Yorkshire.Winkat (talk) 20:54, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- I had a quick look. The one page that links to it, Meadow Hall and Wincobank railway station, says its a nearby village and Google maps supports that. Though no village is indicated there's a Blackburn Primary School, Blackburn Ln, Blackburn Rd and bus stops are labelled 'Blackburn (Rotherham)', which searching on turns up many results, e.g. [1], [2],. There's also the M1 motorway which cuts right through and possibly wiped out other signs of a village. But it's certainly a real place, probably worth an article given the two pages I linked to.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 23:21, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
