editThis article states that the inaugural competition was in 1965, yet the list of world records goes back to the 1920s. Clearly there is an error here somewhere. Were the older records perhaps broken in the Bislett stadium but not at the Bislett games? Someone with more knowledge may wish to look into this. Best wishes, Rje (talk) 00:37, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Dream Mile world records
editLooking at this source the Dream Mile was responsible for three world records. Our article only mentions two, omitting 1979 Coe and the list of world records on this article mentions none. I also note that Coe's 800 record in 1979 is set two weeks before the mile. So I'm confused and reluctant to publish wrong info. Are (were) there two Bislett Games meets two weeks apart? Or was one under a different meet name, or even in a different Oslo stadium? Was the Dream Mile not part of the Bislett Games? Why are none of the Mile world records mentioned in the article? - @Trackinfo: The answer is in Sports Illustrated. Coe's run in Oslo in 1979 was an IAAF held "Golden" event, not the Bislett Games. Thanks for piquing my interest as this may help fill a gap in the IAAF Golden Sprints puzzle I've been wondering about. The internet isn't really a good research tool for this era, but we may soon have enough to actually write an IAAF Golden Events article. SFB 17:21, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Meeting records
editI think 2 results from 16 July 1985 (men's hammer and women's discus) are from "Oslo NOR-SWE-FIN-URS Int. Match". Bislett Games were held few weeks later that year. --Pelmeen10 (talk) 21:20, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
