Quick notes:

  • Quotes and opinions need to be directly attributed. I've marked where these occur.
  • Use of the term "native" seems very dated. Indigenous people perhaps?

Note: quotes need attribution, see MOS:QUOTE. Footnotes is advised as "at least"; the norm is inline. Jim Killock (talk) 23:51, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Arrest warrants

edit

I've re-added a tag to the sentence "He was also included in the original 237 arrest warrants issued by Judge Rómulo Paredes." This lacks some context, for instance when and why these warrants were issued, for what purposes, against whom / what groups of people, who Parades was. WP's MoS requires that facts are clear to a reader unfamiliar with the topic. Hope that helps. Jim Killock (talk) 22:53, 23 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for resolving this @Arawoke Jim Killock (talk) 10:29, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your work on the article as well! I will be adding two subjects to the article soon, however I have been busy. These subjects are a raid in 1907 that Normand led against Colombians and led to the capture of ten non-indigenous men, including Aquileo Torres, who is mentioned several times in the Putumayo literature. The second subject relates to Normand’s treatment of an indigenous Chief named Katenere. Normand induced Katenere to extract rubber for Matanzas however this Chief fled due to ill treatment which some sources mention. Katenere started an uprising sometime after his relationship with Normand ended and this rebellion was the most significant indigenous uprising in the Putumayo literature. I've added Template:Interlanguage links for the red links; note that these can be targeted at pages that exist under different names. The example given is {{ill|Hooglede town hall|nl|Gemeentehuis van Hooglede}} giving Hooglede town hall [nl]. I don't have time to go through these to find all of the articles that exist, but I suggest that @Arawoke: checks if these exist, and if not, perhaps removes the redlinks. This tends to be asked for at GA and FA levels. Jim Killock (talk) 06:36, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
