DescriptionSt Lawrence the Martyr's Church, Kirkland, Culgaith CP - geograph.org.uk - 286872.jpg
English: St Lawrence the Martyr's Church, Kirkland, Culgaith CP An old church said to have once been much larger. It was the parish church for several townships. There is some medieval masonry, such as the chancel arch that could be 14C, but the church was rebuilt in 1880. It has a double bellcote with bells rung from the porch. Inside, the church is lit by a softly-coloured E window of 1899. There is a 13C effigy of a Knight in the sanctuary. In the churchyard there is a cross over 2.5m high, the head free-armed, but round holes between the arms.
