Summary

Description This photos shoes a NIOSH researcher modifing a fiber length classifier in order to produce length-selected fibers (e.g. asbestos) in quantities sufficient for toxicological studies for a NIOSH project. This novel instrument will enable toxicology studies to directly test the importance of fiber length in asbestos-related diseases.
