Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Primary visual identification. The image is a 3-D illustration of the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy, the trophy awarded to the winner of the MLS Cup.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	Regardless of depiction, the trophy is unfree. This image was created by the creator of the object that is depicted and published on their website to be shared. Permission for fair use is given implicitly in this form. If we used a third party photo, this implicit permission would not be available. The depiction in third party photos is also less accurate due to reflections.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	Is now in use on Philip F. Anschutz Trophy. When used on other articles, this fair use rationale should be expanded.
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2)	The image was created specifically for public illustration of the trophy, designed by Casscles Design and owned by Major League Soccer, as an advertisement for the company that designed the trophy. Provided that proper sourcing is provided as well as links to the website that created it, I don't see how this will harm the commercial opportunities of said company.

This is a two-dimensional representation of a copyrighted sculpture, statue or any other three-dimensional work of art. As such it is a derivative work of art, and per US Copyright Act of 1976, § 106(2) whoever holds copyright of the original has the exclusive right to authorize derivative works.

Per § 107 it is believed that reproduction for criticism, comment, teaching and scholarship constitutes fair use and does not infringe copyright.
