English: This image depicts the worship, prior to recitation, of the Navagrantha manuscripts (Aṣṭasāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra, Suvarṇaprabhāsa Sūtra, Samādhirāja Sūtra, Gandavyūha Sūtra, Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, Daśabhūmika Sūtra, Lalitavistara Sūtra, Tathāgataguhya). These manuscripts are also accompanied by the Pañcarakṣā text and the Pratiṅgirā text for extra protection. On top of the manuscripts are various offerings required as part of this pūjā, and in front, before the main priest (mūlāguru), one can see the drawing of maṇḍalas and offerings of three rice prestations to the Buddha, Dharma, and Saṅgha maṇḍalas. After this pūjā was completed, the books were distributed to 108 vajrācāryas and recited.
