Description
English: The barque Palinurus was sailing from Demerara (now in Guyana) to London in 1848 when she went onto Lion Rock, north of St. Martin's, Isles of Scilly. All 17 crew were drowned, eventually being washed ashore and buried on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly. In the Valhalla Museum in Tresco Abbey Gardens, Isles of Scilly.
