Description
English: The smaller wading pool of Hamilton Fish Park, at Houston Street and Pitt Street in the Lower East Side, Manhattan. The pools were constructed in the 1930s as WPA projects under Robert Moses and Aymar Embury II. Crescent-shaped structures are found in other Robert Moses-designed parks, including other pools, and the beaches and malls of Orchard Beach and Jacob Riis Park.
