English: Guildford Cathedral Weather Vane. This 15-foot tall angel weather vane atop Guildford Cathedral weighs nearly a tonne and swivels very easily on mercury bearings. It was designed by Alan Collins and made in Islington (Hurst Franklyn & Co), and donated by Mr & Mrs SAdgey-Edgar in memory of their son who died during the Second World War. The wind was coming from the west when this photograph was taken.
