English: I don't see Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) eating fish very often -- have seen it just a few times here in the Pacific Northwest. They're primarily plant eaters, and I've read that the fishing behavior could be related simply to opportunism and abundance, or to accidental catching while foraging for greens.
I photographed this male Mallard at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, Washington • Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Lumix 100-300mm
