The small purple circles mark the location of RCAF airfields used in the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. In alphabetical order they are Airdrie, Calgary (McCall Field), Currie Barracks, De Winton, Gladys, High River, Inverlake, and Shepard. The marks and notes in red ink were made by an airman in 1944.
