Little millet is commonly known as Suan in Odia has immense health benefits. With an Indian origin and regarded as "the tribal millet and king of cereals", because it is used more by tribals and has a long self life with being more nutritious than all other grains. It contains a large amount of critical and micro nutrients, enriching it with medicinal properties. In today's generation, the most common disease is diabetes which is grasping everyone from younger people to older people. So, it has been found that this little millet has low glycemic index as compared to other cereals therefore suitable for patients who suffer from diabetes. As it has rich magnesium sources in it promotes a healthy heart. Obesity is the great villain of this generation. But by consuming this super nutritious food, we can deal with the fat level in our body as it is a very good source of dietary fiber. Additionally, it contains protein, calcium, iron, vitamins E and B, which is essential in the process of development. The antioxidant level of this grain is very high that acts as an immunity booster. It also improves the cognition power in children and adults as it has vitamin B and E. Despite of having many health benefits, it is still remains unnoticed. Therefore, is it a hidden treasure for today's society, which will improve the overall health of humans.
