Abaru (Persian: ابرو)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Abaru Rural District of the Central District of Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,486 in 773 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,783 people in 1,034 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,585 people in 1,013 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
