How can I contact a senior administrator?

edit

My contribution in Serjeant-at-arms#Singapore contains no copyright violation, why was the entire thing being removed? I was given no opportunity to address the issue mentioned within and the administrator removed the entire thing, then treat my contribution as his own.

1. Is that even a right thing to do? 2. I request that my last contribution on 00:18, 2 November 2023 on the portion of my contribution be reversed or reviewed. Junming999 (talk) 16:20, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see that material was removed as a copyright violation by User:Diannaa, who is our most active patroller of copyright violations. I would be surprised to learn that she had made a mistake. Have you asked her about the material on her talk page? Proper protocol on this Wikipedia is to first ask the admin who acted for more information. Did you copy that information from another site? You may not have realized it was a copyright violation, but such violations must be removed from Wikipedia whether or not the editor who added them was aware of the violation. Even close paraphrasing must be removed.
There are no "senior administrators". First step is to try to resolve the issue with the involved editor or administrator. If you are still unsatisfied after that, you can take the issue to one of the noticeboards, but they are often called "drama boards" for good reason, and you will need to present a clear and cogent case. I would recommend not doing so until you have carefully reviewed the relevant policies and guidelines. Donald Albury 19:38, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Junming999 I removed some content that was a match for this webpage, which is marked as "© 2023 Government of Singapore". I'm not sure what you mean by "treat my contribution as his own". It's perfectly normal for one person's work to be edited by another person when appropriate. — Diannaa (talk) 23:32, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
As opposed to you removing "some content", you removed the entirety of my content then pasted what I contributed as yours. The edit history says otherwise. Junming999 (talk) 14:48, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
The content you posted was not yours in the first place, it was the Government of Singapore's. Paraphrasing the text is much better than simply wholesale removal. Primefac (talk) 15:25, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
