I am nominating this topic due to it failing to meet criterion 1.d and 3.a with 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Armbrust The Homunculus 08:40, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Cinematic Universe films

edit

I am nominating this for Good Topic removal since not only has Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 failed its GA review, but Thor: Ragnarok is also not on GA level and hasn't even been nominated one month after its February 3, 2018 deadline. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:21, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For the record Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a current GAN and Thor: Ragnarok has until one month after its March 6, 2018 home media release.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 00:16, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like this misled me for Thor, but we'll see how GOTG2 comes out. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:19, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, it needs to reach GA status 3 months after the films' theatrical release (not one month after home media release). Armbrust The Homunculus 09:29, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I recall it being granted this extension to allow for the plethora of additional information that usually follows the home media release. @Favre1fan93 and Adamstom.97: they might be able to better answer this.—TriiipleThreat (talk) 10:09, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi all. Yes, there was previous discussion to adjust GT retention until 1 month after physical home media release. The initial discussion occurred at the Age of Ultron talk page here with the directors of the FT project, GamerPro64 and Juhachi, and then the discussion moved over the the Featured topic candidates talk page here, where again, it was determined that these films would have 1 month after their physical home media release to be nominated for GA. To the removal nom, GotG Vol. 2 has since been renominated for GA after its first failed GA, Homecoming is good to go, and Ragnarok will be nominated by April 6, as it's physical home media is releasing March 6. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:29, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I'll update the retention subpage accordingly to avoid further discrepancies. Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:02, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you SNUGGUMS. Should the "1 month after home media release" retention also be added to the prose at the top of Wikipedia:Featured topic criteria#Retention, so we don't encounter this again for the next MCU film (and I guess this would apply for the James Bond films and Pirates of the Caribbean films too)? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:28, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely would support including that, but will let FTC coordinators answer whether it should be added. Snuggums (talk / edits) 22:16, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all. So the two articles in question from SNUGGUMS' original removal notice have both passed GA and I am going to be nominating them, plus Homecoming to the topic. I'm assuming then this would subsequently need to be closed? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:29, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gwen Stefani albums

I am nominating this topic due to it failing to meet criterion 3.b with You Make It Feel Like Christmas not becoming a Good Article several months after the album came out. Aoba47 (talk) 18:20, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment – I can't promise anything, and nor should my word make any difference, but YMIFLC is currently an article I plan to expand in my sandbox and then eventually nominate for GAR. Carbrera (talk) 05:52, 28 February 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Pirates of the Caribbean films

I am nominating this topic due to it failing to meet criterion 3.b with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales not becoming a Good Article three months after the movie came out. GamerPro64 16:36, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

While it probably will be easier next month, when the Blu-Ray arrives, will work on solving this quickly. Edited Dead Men Tell No Tales a bit and put it on the GA - you're welcome to review it in any case, @GamerPro64:. igordebraga 18:48, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
