Several users have noted the article contains intricate trivia detail and poor prose. I agree and for this reason, am placing it up for FLRC. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 09:02, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Could you give some specific examples?--70.49.72.34 (talk) 04:15, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- There's a lack of consistency at times. (Character linking, names (Hanzō))
- Excessive plot or prose issues related to characters who are frequently updated (Madara Uchiha, Obito Uchiha)
- A third point that might be difficult to address is accessibility, which I can not judge since I am knowledgeable about the series. User Kku has complained about this, and placed the tags accordingly.
Of course, this is my opinion, and I will withdrawal if there is consensus the list in its current state meets FL standards. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 23:36, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delist- It's really a pit 'cause we (anime and manga project) only have two FLs, and it was a day a very, very good example of how a character list should be. Now, it still have its "essence" present so that looking from a distance it seems like a FL. However, in a more deep analysis I have to agree with @DragonZero: and @Kku: that it no more fulfills the quality necessary of a FL. I would say a cleanup would help a lot and the problems are not to hard to solve, though. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 22:33, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]- I'll refrain from "voting", and I'll give Tintor2 my vote of confidence... and I hope he can fix it. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 00:31, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I am willing to try cleaning up this article. I already revised several sections and try to fix the wording. If anyboy could give me further advices in what to fix or a help in editing the list, please tell me. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 23:14, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I did some tide up and trimmed the list a lot. I'm sleepy now so I'll check this again tomorrow. Once again, I would appreciate advices and help so that we could keep this list as a FL for the project.Tintor2 (talk) 01:17, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok, great work! The last time I visited it (and I remember it in a good state), it didn't include "Sai" and "Yamato" at main characters, and Hashirama, Tobirama, Minato, Danzo, Rin, and Kushina didn't have it own section, and "Other characters" had another structure (I can't remember). Another thing blatant to me is that Zabuza, for example, has more lines written than Konan and the same number that Kisame has. I'm not sure those are problem, though. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 04:02, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- The list is pretty plot-heavy. I'm hoping a non-expert of fictional character lists could give their opinion about this. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 05:33, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- I tried trimming more. As Gabriel noted, the Senju didn't have sections last time but that was before they became more prominent in the story so I just tried trimming them.Tintor2 (talk) 12:32, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
A request at the Guild of Copy Editors would be helpful, wouldn't it be? The user who will perform the copyedit will trim it and (probably) it will be a user non-familiar with the series. Being non-familiar, he can help to improve accessibility to general readers. (I would request it by myself but there's a limit of two requests per editor at any one time) Gabriel Yuji (talk) 00:26, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Already requested.Tintor2 (talk) 00:28, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Also, there is already a user copyediting it.Tintor2 (talk) 15:38, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello, "a user" here. I've trimmed down some things after getting here from the Guild, although admittedly, Tintor2 did a great deal of commendable work prior to that, and I just wanted to know if there are any more pressing problems I can help with maybe? or does the list look good now for standards ~Helicopter Llama~ 16:01, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
My remaining issues.
- Sometimes, a character is linked in a section of their first mention, sometimes they are not; likewise, if it is decided a section should link by first mention, and not based on the article as a whole, repeating voice actors need linking.
Nihongo consistencyObito is voiced by Wataru Takagi, while Naoya Uchida voiced his Madara guise from episodes 125 to 343. I'm pretty sure the Madara voice was brought back further down the line.Viz external link redirects. Current link is http://www.viz.com/naruto?sz=1152Ref 30 is dead?http://jump.shueisha.co.jp/naruto/ external link dead?
Not a big enough issue to raise, I find concision could be further improved. Jumping randomly into the article
"However, Jiraiya manages to take out Nagato's Animal Path vessel and he fashions a new one from a female corpse. During Pain's attack on Konoha, the rest of the Paths were destroyed in the fight against Naruto. Talking with Naruto, Nagato's faith in their mentor and world peace is renewed as he sacrifices his life to revive the people he killed in Konoha." I would remove the first sentence, and revamp the second and third sentence to something along the lines of "defeated and persuaded by Naruto". Otherwise, when my issues are resolved and no other oppositions are raised, I will withdrawal my support for delisting. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 17:12, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I removed the dead link and rearranged some sentences. Ref 30 seems to be working for me and I can't find inconsistency in the use of nihongo.Tintor2 (talk) 17:45, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Hmm yeah, I take that back. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 01:28, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Ref 30 works for me too. Also, do the voice actor links not follow WP:REPEATLINK? ~Helicopter Llama~ 17:53, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- That's why I said consistency, either enforce it once per article or a some other level of consistency. Characters are linked multiple times within the article, and I am giving voice actors the same weight as well. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 01:28, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I wikilinked some voice actors.Tintor2 (talk) 12:47, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- How are character links decided? Ex, Obito is linked in Akatsuki and Itachi, but not linked in Deidara. Need some consistency here, whether the once per article rule or once per some level of subheading. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 01:31, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Tried delinking some. I wonder if I missed one or two.Tintor2 (talk) 10:48, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I withdrawal my opposition. Kku brought up points about excessive plot but never attended this FLRC to argue for it so there's no point keeping this open anymore. Just gotta wait for an admin to close this now. DragonZero (Talk · Contribs) 14:18, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep looks fine to me. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:07, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating this for FLRC because this article hasn't aged well since it was promoted in 2007. Honestly the issues the article has were raised in the Lightning Bolt discography review a few years back. Lead issues and lack of referencing in the page cements it to be placed up for review. And that's pretty much it. GamerPro64 03:02, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Delist per poor sourcing, source formatting, lead comprehensiveness, and organization. Tezero (talk) 05:18, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Delist Severely underreferenced. Great example of how FL (and Wikipedia overall) standards of changed. Adabow (talk) 09:33, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Delist Clearly under referenced. lead isn't comprehensive. Aureez (Talk) 18:32, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Delist Obviously no longer meets guidelines: very poor referencing and styling, plus echoing of all the other objections above. Ah well, life goes on. I Am Rufus • Conversation is a beautiful thing. 19:22, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Delegate's comment - This FLRC has been closed as delist. There may be a delay as the bot passes through. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:56, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
