Your draft article, Draft:AOCA Foundation

Hello, MemeGod27. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "AOCA Foundation".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:49, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Your contributed article, March 31, 2023 Bethel Springs-Adamsville tornado

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, March 31, 2023 Bethel Springs-Adamsville tornado. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Tornado outbreak of March 31 – April 1, 2023. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Tornado outbreak of March 31 – April 1, 2023. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. ForsythiaJo (talk) 17:29, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. I'm still learning the wikipedia ropes, so I'm completely open to SPEDs and such. That tornado really hits home with me (literally) and I guess I went a bit too far with details and such. :P 𝔐𝔢𝔪𝔢𝔊𝔬𝔡27 (talk) 17:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Hi there! So the reason I tagged the article for speedy deletion is bc it looks like you just copy pasted portions of Tornado outbreak of March 31 – April 1, 2023 into a new article. Although Wiki content is not protected under copyright, we are supposed to give credit when moving text between articles - for example, in the edit summary you could say "text copied from (article name), see that page for attribution".
You may be able to argue that this particular tornado deserves its own separate article. If you do want to try to write a separate article on the tornado, I suggest looking for sources that show the effects of the tornado on the area in the long term, and recovery efforts, as the parent article focuses mainly on the tornadoes themselves and the damage they inflicted.
You could also consider adding info on this tornado to the articles on the affected towns, as those pages might not have many specific details on the event. In any case, best of luck! ForsythiaJo (talk) 18:46, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Okay, that makes sense, and will do. Thanks! 𝔐𝔢𝔪𝔢𝔊𝔬𝔡27 (talk) 19:00, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Women in Red

Hi there, MemeGod27, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you intend to help us improve Wikipedia's coverage of women. In this connection, you should find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. As for Yinka Djin, you should try to find at least three informative secondary sources which are not directly connected with the subject. You can let me know when you think your draft has been sufficiently improved. If you would like others to see your interest in our project you can sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:45, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

Okay, thanks! I reread the criteria for new articles and I honestly don't think Yinka Djin is prolific enough to have an article. The Ilona Katkics one is different though, she was on the "Female directors redlinks" page and seems prolific enough. (っ◔◡◔)っHuman Reverting Edits (talk) 15:33, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Fe229e55710d8eca5b8c0e0343932343 XL.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Fe229e55710d8eca5b8c0e0343932343 XL.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Thanks for your contributions to Ilona Katkics. Proposed deletion of NGC 2006

Hello, MemeGod27

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Klbrain, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, NGC 2006, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

NGC catalogue objects

Thanks for adding new content to Wipikedia, but I'm not sure that off the NGC catalogue entries need their own pages - there isn't much to say about them that could be tabulated on a joint page. You might consider pausing on creating them until we get a few more views on this. Klbrain (talk) 14:55, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Yea, that makes sense. The one thing with me that would warrant them articles is the images, Putting 1,000 images on a page doesn't seem convienient (and commons is a bit confusing for visitors, including me). And I definetely need to do more research on them (some of them are extremely old and fascinating). I understand quality over quantity, and I'll either up them in quality, and if I can't find any extra info, just delete them or draft them until something is worked out. Thanks :P ( ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ʖ ͡°)͡°) (talk) 14:58, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Okay, thanks :). I had edited and created multiple pages in which the person had randomly reverted. I was assuming good faith, but then I checked his talk page and every single message is from someone wondering why this person has randomly just reverted entire pages. We sorted it out, but they still haven't given me a reason as to why they did this. (っ◔◡◔)っHuman Reverting Edits (talk) 14:11, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
