Hello SPQR10, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Imran N. Hosein have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 16:24, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Department of Islamic Reconstruction moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Department of Islamic Reconstruction, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Lu'ayy ibn Ghalib into Ghalib ibn Fihr. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 13:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hadith Qudse

edit

Hi on 28 February you created the article Hadith Qudse. It looks to me that we already have this topic covered in the article Hadith. If that’s not the case can you explain the difference please? Thanks. Mccapra (talk) 09:34, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is a difference between normal hadith and hadith Qudse both are a sub category of revelation or Wahi, both are studied under a different category. The information in the article , the content itself speaks of difference.

SPQR10 (talk) 10:19, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks that's good to know. I'm afraid though that the distinction between the more general topic of hadith and this specific topic really isn't clear from what you've written. Could you take another look at the article and think about readers who know absolutely nothing about the topic you're discussing - more context is needed and more detailed explanation will be helpful. Many thanks Mccapra (talk) 10:59, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes of course i would provide a detailed explanation soon Regards SPQR10 (talk) 11:03, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

False warning!

edit

Don't put false warning on other editor's pages. You have to learn what vandalism means first! I didn't vandalise anything. I just put a channel where his videos are uploaded quite often. If you feel like it's not good enough you could ask to remove it nicely. You don't just put a user's main channel as associate acts. Ishan87 (talk) 05:30, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I suggest that you use the article talk page to explain your objections to Ishan87's edits at Imran N. Hosein. If you have made an effort to resolve the matter on the article talk page it can stand you in good stead if/when you later go to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring to complain about the other editor. Also try reading Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. Again, if you are following the correct process, and the other editor is not, then it ought to help you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:57, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
User:Toddy1 The user has created a havoc of non senese edits and rollbacks. Why don't you check the history? Check the number of warnings he has? SPQR10 (talk) 09:58, 20 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
If you object to his/her edits, the best thing to do is to explain why the edits are wrong on each of the article talk pages, and then revert the edits you object to. Please post on the article talk page before you revert on the article page. This is the process described at Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. On Wikipedia, "vandalism" has a very specific meaning: editing (or other behaviour) deliberately intended to obstruct or defeat the project's purpose, which is to create a free encyclopedia, in a variety of languages, presenting the sum of all human knowledge. In the case of his/her edits to the article on Imran N. Hosein, it is clear that his/her edits are not vandalism. He/she added Dawah Digital to the infobox in the "associated_acts" field and he/she updated the viewing statistics. Were those the wrong things to do? If you do not use the article talk page to explain, the rest of us cannot help you.
Again, take cognisance of the advice at WP:ANI/3RR, which is that you need to show that you have made an effort to resolve the dispute on the article talk page.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:33, 20 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Peer Yaseen Sahib

edit

The article Peer Yaseen Sahib has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphan non-notable article that anyway requires a complete rewrite

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Peer Yaseen Sahib

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Peer Yaseen Sahib, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 8bit12man (talk) 17:05, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
