Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Philonoist03! Your additions to Draft:Schoolhouse.world have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 11:33, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Thankyou so much for informing me about this . So , I'm gonna copy information from the Sal Khan's Wikipedia page . For that purpose where do I need to use the phrase "copied from x source" Philonoist03 (talk) 11:45, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, if you would like to copy text from Sal Khan into Draft:Schoolhouse.world, you will need to include in the edit summary something like this: "copied content from [[Sal Khan]]; see that page's history for attribution". Thanks, /wiae /tlk 12:53, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi I included the edit summary "copied content from Sal Khan; see that page's history for attribution" . Would you like to remove the template now ? Philonoist03 (talk) 14:53, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- You'll need to leave the template there, because I also removed some content that was copied from another website that was protected by copyright. An administrator will be along in the coming hours to address this—until then, you and I must leave it there. (This explains why Praxidicae has reverted your edit—and rightly so!) /wiae /tlk 14:56, 3 June 2022 (UTC)

editPaid editing
editHello Philonoist03. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Philonoist03. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Philonoist03|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 08:52, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello there ! No , I think you're mistaken. I'm not either getting paid or I want to get paid for this . For a while I had in mind that I'd love to write an article on Wikipedia but I couldn't find any topics for that as almost all topics I thought was already covered by Wikipedia. Recently, when I was reading the Wikipedia article about Sal Khan I read about this organization named Schoolhouse.world and it is a non-profit organization who teaches students for free and they had about 14k learners. Then I saw a New York Times article about Schoolhouse. I believed it was a notable organization but wasn't covered by Wikipedia. Hence I did some of my own research and found they collaborated with various US state department of education too and decided to add my first article in Wikipedia. I'm not getting paid for this and I don't want to get paid from a non-profit who does some good work to the world . Philonoist03 (talk) 09:15, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
also I think you left this comment on the top of the page where all I wanted is to document the history and the impact of a non-profit organization Comment: This reads like advertising. Theroadislong (talk) 08:51, 7 June 2022 (UTC) Philonoist03 (talk) 09:25, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

editPlease do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Draft:Schoolhouse.world, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 06:02, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Gotcha , but I put so much effort on researching about this topic by going to different sources and government websites and news mentions and you left the comment that it seems like advertising. What do you think is a valid reason i can show in order to remove it constructively ? Philonoist03 (talk) 06:06, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- All comments are removed once the draft is accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 06:15, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
got it . Thankyou . Philonoist03 (talk) 06:29, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Alakh Pandey
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Alakh Pandey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Osarius 10:21, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

Thankyou I posted my thoughts on this in the Articles for creation help desk . In short , the article was about India's 101th Unicorn Startup Physicswallah. They were covered by various news organizations in the recent days . However, as you've declined my request I'd love to know how can I make the draft perfect to get published. Schoolhouse.world moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Schoolhouse.world, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. PRAXIDICAE🌈 16:05, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
Thankyou for your review ! Philonoist03 (talk) 16:33, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- Do not move it to mainspace again. PRAXIDICAE🌈 16:38, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
I didn't and don't intend to until I think it's ready for submission. Also , before submitting it for review I'll probably reach out to you via your Talk Page for further review. Philonoist03 (talk) 16:42, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
