Your submission

edit

Greetings. I'm here to talk about your submission. The layout of your article may be a little off. See WP:MS for more clarity. You could have browse and refer to other articles on Wikipedia before starting. For sourcing, there are some criteria to be met. Basically, cite reliable sources.(*please click and read the blue hyperlink) Cite third party sources: mainstream publications, newspapers, magazines or books. Stay away from homepages and official websites. Sources must provided extensive and in-depth coverage, a whole article that is. And if there is no such sources at the moment, it'll be best to wait until the said film is matured. You can also insert sources of your native language if they are present and if they fulfil the requirements of a reliable source.

As for We are using this documentary to help a student get into college here, you would need to clarify this statement with me. If you are writing on behalf of someone, you have to declare. If you are paid to write about the subject, then you must declare as well. Failure to declare will risk yourself to be penalised.

I can sense that you are desperate in the tone of your writing. Anyway, please maintain composure and get familiar with Wikipedia in all ways. I greatly suggest you to post a question to the AfC Helpdesk to get some better advice from editors with more than 10 years of experience. They might give better advice than what I give here. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Kmehta9. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:The Survivor (2016), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Just a warning, that you don't have to have received any money to have a conflict of interests. Having worked on or with the project, or equivalent needs to be explicitly stated.

This will not hinder the chances of the article being published, but it is something that can get an article deleted, if a major contributor is found to have a conflict of interest after the fact. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:55, 23 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
