Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited House of 1000 Corpses, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Roadside. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there, just a note re: this, that statements like "replaced with Debi Derryberry after Bergman met her demise" are not in line with WP:EUPHEMISM. Wikipedia is not censored. If a person dies, they die. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:55, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Destinee & Paris, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 05:59, 30 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jannat Zubair Rahmani, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diff: [1] With identity theft being a major concern, the Wikipedia community considers it a violation of a subject's privacy to post their birthdate without providing a reference in a major publication, such that it can be reasonable assumed that the subject doesn't object to their DOB being out there. I'm not quite clear on how you missed the very obvious embedded note that instructed you of this in the article, though. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:03, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Clueless (musical), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page It's a Beautiful Life (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

List of American actors of Irish descent

You added a lot of names to this page with no references. If they are really of Irish descent you need to confirm that. I looked at their wiki pages and only four mentioned Irish ancestry. Two aren't even American and a few aren't notable (no wiki pages). 75.18.184.25 (talk) 04:50, 14 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ethnicelebs.com as a source

edit

Hi DynastiNoble . I noticed that you recently used ethnicelebs.com as a source for biographical information in Talitha Bateman. Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. I've gone ahead and removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks.--Hipal/Ronz (talk) 19:44, 19 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blanking pages

edit

Hello, DynastiNoble,

I'd appreciate it if you didn't blank pages like Category:Television shows set in Dayton, Ohio or Category:Television shows set in Eureka, California. These are empty categories and it is useful to see what the parent categories are, to see if they should also be tagged for deletion.

If you do see pages that fit our Speedy deletion criteria, feel free to tag them and notify the page creator of your tagging. But don't blank pages unless you are the page creator and you want your page to be deleted. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 14:36, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, various popular songs are used in TV shows, films, plays, TV/radio ads, novels, political campaigns, operas, knock knock jokes, etc.

In general, these uses are trivial. No one is really interested that "Camptown Races" was used in a radio ad for Burger Chef in the northeast United States in 1972. It isn't a significant to the history of the song or the chain. How do we know? Independent reliable sources about the chain don't discuss the song and sources about the song don't discuss the chain. (For comparison, sources about "Don't You (Forget About Me)" certainly discuss its use in The Breakfast Club.)

Imagine what "Happy Birthday to You" would look like if it listed the thousands of movies, TV shows, etc. it is used in. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:44, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oh, that's fine. Not all song pages on Wikipedia had pop culture uses. Everyone knows that songs like "Material Girl" and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" are played in various pop culture stuff like movies and television shows. I have heard "...Baby One More Time" in a burger commercial. DynastiNoble (talk) 11:14, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
