Mapsurfer49 was an early implementor of the Internet, part of the "Cutting Red Tape" team who was awarded Vice President Gore's "Hammer Award" in 1994 for establishing the US Census Bureau internet connection, network infrastructure, and website. Developed the "US Gazetteer", "Tiger Map Server" and various data retrieval tool such as "Census Lookup".
Mapsurfer49 has expertise with computer generated mapping, large-scale database management, and various subject matter related to history and statistics, and state-of-the-art computing and networking infrastructure.
