Background

I grew up near Shoranur, in Kerala, India. I studied at Lawrence School, Lovedale, and later at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I now live in Lawrence, KS, and am a PhD student in mathematics at University of Kansas. I study commutative algebra, and little bit of algebraic geometry and combinatorics.

Interests

Mathematics, its history and philosophy, and philosophy in general, languages and literature, cinema, photography and travel.

I am a compusive-obsessive user of Wikipedia, referring to it for almost anything I hear about.

The first editing job I did on wiki was adding the name of Lord Emsworth's pumpkin on the page on P. G. Wodehouse.
