My name is David and I have been contributing to the Hebrew Wikipedia since 2017 and I want to contribute in English as well. I am an Israeli who left the Orthodox Jewish community, all thanks to Wikipedia, and now define myself as an ex-jew.
After reading Wikipedia, I came to the conclusion that there was probably no God.
- I read that the age of the universe is 13.819 billion years and not 5778 years as taught by the Talmud Torah
- I read that the Genesis flood narrative originated from from Epic of Gilgamesh - an epic poem from ancient Mesopotamia that is often regarded as the earliest surviving great work of literature - essentially it is just a folktale.
- I read that the city of Jericho is about 11,500 years old, which is more ancient than the age of the world according to Judaism, and no an archaeological finding was ever found their from the conquest of Joshua
- I read that the name Jewish "sabbath" come from the Babylonian shabatu
- I read that the "Jewish names" of the month are actually from the The Babylonian Calendar
