Fixed for IE6

edit

I made some changes that seem to have fixed this template on IE6. The problem seemed to be caused by the use of the {{superimpose}} template. In particular, the superimposed (float) image (Image:Kit body basketball.gif) was larger than the "base" or background image. I reduced the size of the former and then tweaked the template so that they would be positioned correctly. Please let me know if it's not working for you.

Yes, I know that there are some unsightly horizontal lines in all versions of IE but I'm willing to live with those for now (though I'd be thrilled if someone else could clean them up!). Rolando 16:02, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just like the case that was discussed here: https://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Template_talk:Football_kit&action=edit#Template-protected_edit_request_on_27_May_2016 the body and shorts kit are enclosed inside <a> tags, with an "image" class on their containing <div>s. I think adding `|link=|` to the shirt and shorts templates would solve the issue.

Not done for now: Consider making the change to Template:Basketball kit/sandbox per WP:TESTCASES. Re-open if the linking is behaving correctly there, and we can do a sync — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 17:11, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks -- I did that here and it seems to be working fine: https://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Template:Basketball_kit/sandbox&oldid=739298199 the "image" class is no longer added to shirt, short, and sleeves, and the images are no longer links.   Not done: The page's protection level has changed since this request was placed. You should now be able to edit the page yourself. If you still seem to be unable to, please reopen the request with further details. It appears that you are now autoconfirmed and are able to do the sync of the main template yourself. Re-open if there are still issues though — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 00:11, 14 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Template:Football kit/pettern appears to be broken in the template. Would suggest deleting it as it's non-existant anyway. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 19:44, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Template:Football kit/pettern doesn't appear in the template {{Basketball kit}}. Cabayi (talk) 20:15, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Cabayi - It appears a single instance under the "no transparency" section of the template, which is causing the article to appear in Category:Templates with missing files. Apologies that my initial edit request wasn't clear. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 20:39, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
KatnissEverdeen There is no "no transparency" section of the template. That's in the documentation. The link to Template:Football kit/pettern was in Template:Football kit/pattern list which was transcluded, and where I've reverted a bunch of over-enthusiastic edits by a newbie. Let's see if all the transclusions purge through & clear the category overnight. Cabayi (talk) 22:54, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Seems to have cleared already. Cabayi (talk) 22:57, 1 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Requesting a null edit to Template:Basketball kit to fix a red-linked image. This edit to Template:Football kit/pattern list, which has since been corrected, caused the red-link. Thanks! - tucoxn\talk 16:15, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done: looks like this this was completed. Thanks! - tucoxn\talk 19:25, 26 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Template:Basketball kit needs a null edit to remove it from the Templates with missing files category. Looks like the same cause as in 2018. - Sumanuil (talk) 20:49, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Uniform labels for teams without specific "home" or "away" jerseys

edit

UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball rotates uniform colors at home. How can I get the jersey labels to say "white" and "color" instead of "home" and "away"? Kart2401real (talk) 21:02, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

More colours on short's "_blacktop" option?

edit

Apologies if it's a naïve question, but is there a way to get - or create - more colours similar to _blacktop? E.g. _bluetop, _redtop etc. I couldn't locate something in the basketball or football kits. Thanks! :) The Space Stout (talk) 12:27, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
