James Edelman

edit
  • ALT1:... that 37 year-old Justice James Edelman was said to be the youngest Supreme Court judge ever, but Sir Lawrence Jackson was appointed when he was 36?
  • Reviewed: This is my third nomination, so QPQ does not apply (yet). But I have reviewed one nomination in the past. I will do another one soon.
  • Comment: There are probably many hooks that could be selected from this biography. Edelman is only 41 years old but has already been a Rhodes scholar, Oxford University professor, Supreme Court judge and now a Federal Court judge. There is more I want to expand, but the main highlights of his career are already there, so I am nominating now. The only thing I am unsure about handling is the list of books. It is currently unreferenced, but I took it from a Google Books search of his name. But even excluding the list, I have taken this article from 74 words to 400. So the five-fold expansion criterion is covered.

5x expanded by Athomeinkobe (talk). Self-nominated at 07:55, 3 September 2015 (UTC).

  • 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, neutrally written, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Taking the book titles from Google Books is fine, no referencing needed, but it's important to include the ISBN numbers. I formatted the bibliography using WP:Citation templates. The first hook is very hooky; hook ref verified and cited inline. No QPQ necessary for nominator with less than 5 DYKs. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 22:42, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
