Zimbabwe Rhodesia Stamps?

As far as I can recall, no overprinted stamps were issued in the brief life of the Zimbabwe Rhodesia state; Rhodesia stamps were replaced by stamps with Zimbabwe.

I cannot cite references to this 'omission' (there would be none of course if there were no overprints!) but I lived there and was a philatelist at the time, so was very conscious about stamps, I suggest the reference to the overprints be removed unless there can be a citation to validate it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Publisher100 (talk • contribs) 02:05, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

The updated reference regarding Zimbabwe Rhodesia stamps is still inaccurate, as far as I can tell. Can someone provide citations indicating there were forgeries of Zimbabwe Rhodesia stamps? I think there were forgeries of the original UDI era overprints but that is another time and another situation. In fact, Rhodesia stamps were used right through the Zimbabwe-Rhodesia period, replaced with definitives with Zimbabwe after independence in 1980. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.177.41 (talk) 04:19, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

This term is a misnomer, since it implies that whites and blacks now lead in conjunction. Zimbabwe-Rhodesia → Zimbabwe Rhodesia – The constitution of Zimbabwe Rhodesia did not include a hyphen (or, indeed, the prefix "Republic of"—it seems the country was just "Zimbabwe Rhodesia"). Hyphenated name

I recall the name of the country being hyphenated, though it appears that this practice was only by foreign media, which I have cited in the article. Polemicista (talk) 19:45, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
