Hey! Got here eventually. You probably know the gist of my turnaround/approach by now. VRXCES (talk) 07:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @KGRAMR:, I've had a first look. Honestly, it's a bit embarrassing but given the high standard of your research, writing and article at first glance there's no real issues. I might take another look tomorrow but I think it's safe to say that this is self-evidently at GA standard.
Review
editDoes the article conform to the general standards of WP:VG articles including the WP:VG/MOS? Yes, impeccable as ever.
Is the article generally well-written? No errors found.
- The jargon can be a little dense to a casual reader and definitely encourage wikilinks where possible. For instance: texture mapping and variable half-horizontal resolution could benefit.
- Done -- Roberth Martinez (talk) 14:59, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Is the article broad enough in its coverage and contains reliable sourcing? The coverage is broad and well-researched as is usual for the articles you write.
Do the sources cited verify the text in the article? A spot check yielded nothing unusual.
Are media and links properly attributed and do not have copyright issues? All good here.
Any other personal opinions or miscellaneous feedback that may or may not be relevant to the nomination? See below:
Development
- Sent3 of Para1 means the developers aimed to imitate Virtua Racing for the Jaguar, right?
- Done -- More or less, yeah. Though i put the line you suggested in the head section of the article. Since the Jaguar Explorer Online and The Atari Times sources reporting Brigg's anecdotes say that the project was conceived as "Virtua Racing on the Atari Jaguar". Roberth Martinez (talk) 14:59, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- What's the significance of the Jaguar Extremist Pack? Plenty of older games received compilations; the fact this was distributed by enthusiasts and lacked any coverage indicates that the compilation or the appearance of World Tour Racing in it is not really a notable point.
- Done -- I removed the info about the Extremist Pack release. I'll reintroduce it if a source discusses it (but i doubt it), especially since that prototype features names of real drivers not found in the final version. Roberth Martinez (talk) 14:59, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Reception
- Comfortable with a thematic approach not being taken here as there's not a whole lot of sources.
- As per WP:USESPS and Trafford being a pay-to-publish, still not a fan of the Slaven book, but accept for review commentary this is not particularly a glaring issue around reliable sourcing.

- @Vrxces:Sorry for pinging you but i wanted to know if there's anything else that needs to be looked into the article. Roberth Martinez (talk) 18:21, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, apologies for the delay. I am stumped, I really think that there's not much for me to add. I hope this does not suggest laxity in the review - I think you will agree that your approach to articles and meeting the GA standard is somewhat higher than average! As ever, grateful for any feedback. VRXCES (talk) 22:54, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
