editI'd suggest anyone can write on his early life. I heard that he was a very devoted Catholic. Once he even decided to be a priest. However, there was some "turning points" that changed his attitude about religion.

Just created the article James Wong (which has 2 relevant wiki links into it but needs dab) before coming here. I would propose merging these into James Wong Jim (which incidentally was the bolded entry for both articles)

I knew he was very famous for writing lyrics. However, he also received many music awards. Can someone clarify if he also write music (I don't mean the words)? Kowloonese 00:35, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Jim's romantic love history
editIn 1967, Jim Wong married a renowned singer in 70's, Wai Wa (華娃). They both had known each other and grown up together since they were kids. They had two sons and one daughter. However, in 1980, He met and fell in love with a famous writer, Lam Yin Lei (林燕妮), nicknamed "talented writer" and had had married with Bruce Li before. At that time, Wa was having his baby but she could not accept Jim loved the other lady, so she insisted to divorce with him. After, He and Lam were together but only last for 14 years. They had established an advertising company and named with their last name, Wong and Lam advertising company. They were married under the other famous writer's witness, JinYoung. However, they broken up at the end and there were different stories on their break-up. One version said that Lam did not like Wong anymore, and she even denied that she had married with Wong. The other version said Wong felt guilty of Wa and his children, so he decided to break up with Lam because he thought he treated her so not fair. Anyhow, Jim loved her so much that he could not accept the break-up. He had struggled for two years and even thought of suicide. In 1990’s, He was awarded the top musician. He announced in the public that he especially reserved a seat for Lam but she did not come. He thanked her for inspiring him so that he created a lot of master pieces; therefore, all the awards were belonging to her. Last, he said he loved her as much as he loved his mother, and he shouted, "You are my deepest love ever, and I wound never love the other girls as much as you." After few years, Jim had his last marriage with his assistant, Winnie Chang, who is younger than him 21 years. They were married in Las Vegas. Jim protected Winnie extremely; he did not allow any media to spread any news about her, not even gave permission to publish winnie's face on any newspapers or magazines.

- Oppose James Wong Jim. Support James Wong as that's what sources use. --Cold Season (talk) 04:38, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi User:Cold Season, User:George Ho, there are many James Wong, should the dab be (composer) [which I don't think he was] or (lyricist)? In ictu oculi (talk) 01:00, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have no preference. I would choose the latter, since he is most known for his lyrics. --Cold Season (talk) 17:24, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
