How do we know that Steven Hillenburg is directing? It has yet to be confirmed. And no giving that "he created Spongebob" card. Steven rarely directs episodes. Taco Wiz

It's likely just a guess based on the fact that he directed the first two. I've looked, but haven't found a source for the information. --Alice2 (talk) 00:54, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

What If SpongeBob Were Gone?

What Ever Happened to Spongebob?

Thats the name of the episode. Trust me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.186.213.211 (talk) 01:04, 12 October 2008 (UTC) I know. But references please. Toonami Reactor (talk) 00:31, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's really the name of the episode, but may its page move to that said title?

This is one of the many SpongeBob specials that has two different titles. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be moved.

bias

oh you

"A ToonZone reviewer said that the episode has one event after another, none of which are that funny"

What about some good reviews to be added in, eh? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.239.44.204 (talk) 08:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

There are none, at least not by actual critics. 74.33.174.133 (talk) 12:55, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Google shows that both names are in use to refer to this episode. The opinion of only one editor (even after the discussion was relisted) doesn't seem to be enough to have a consensus to move. EdJohnston (talk) 20:07, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

WhoBob WhatPants? What Ever Happened to SpongeBob? – That's the title of the episode. Episode title card says it all. Thanks. --Relisted. EdJohnston (talk) 02:26, 25 March 2014 (UTC) Mediran (tc) 04:06, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Summary

edit

I undid the edits from Mediran because the summary wasn't as informative as it should be. (94.1.184.66 (talk) 08:47, 26 May 2015 (UTC))Reply

It's a summary; the plot shouldn't be overly detailed. Undoing your revisions per MOS:PLOTMediran [talk] 01:06, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Fine. However I accidently undid your edits before I read your reply :O. So, I'll just have to come up with a way to make the summary informative without making the section too huge. (94.1.184.66 (talk) 08:31, 3 June 2015 (UTC))Reply
Actually, an idea's come to mind. What if I redo my edit and shorten the paragraphs? That way, the summary part will be accurate but not too long. This is only a suggestion. (94.1.184.66 (talk) 13:46, 3 June 2015 (UTC))Reply
Alright, I've redone my edits, but I'm gonna shorten the paragraphs. This is an experiment I'm trying out. I hope that's fine with everyone. (94.1.184.66 (talk) 20:11, 5 June 2015 (UTC))Reply

Title

edit

I know I'm not the first one to be asking this, but why is this article titled "WhoBob WhatPants?" That was solely a promotional name; we don't call the "Have You Seen This Snail?" article "Where's Gary?" or the "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants" article "SpongeBob RoundPants." If one were to watch the episode and search it up on Wikipedia, they would look for "Whatever Happened to SpongeBob?" instead, as that is the title given by official TV listings and the episode's title card. Anyone else in favor of moving? Scrooge200 (talk) 23:01, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

WhoBob WhatPants? What Ever Happened to SpongeBob? – Throughout the article the title "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?" is used. In two places it states that the title used for the article, "WhoBob WhatPants?", is an alt title. So either this RM passes and the article name is updated, or it fails and the article gets updated. The current situation is just unprofessional and very unclear. Gonnym (talk) 20:09, 26 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Support - in further looking into it, it seems like the current title is what it was referred to as before the episode initially aired (and what the article was created as). However, sometime after it's premiere its lead was changed to the longer name. From some casual searching, the shorter name is that of "DVD title" the episode was contained on, and on said DVD, the episode itself, uses the longer, proposed name. Since this is about the episode I would support the move. TiggerJay(talk) 15:42, 27 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
