UK Championship

edit

Is the UK Championship a World Championship, because the UK Womens Championship is a Womens Championship Karabelas (talk) 09:55, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

The NXT UK Women's Championship is a women's championship because it has "Women's" in the name and only women can wrestle for it. The NXT United Kingdom Championship is not a world championship. It's basically on the level of being a secondary championship, like the US or Intercontinental titles. Also, the name is "United Kingdom Championship", meaning it's the championship of the United Kingdom, not the world. --JDC808 18:44, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

NXT

edit

The UK title is shared between NXT UK and NXT.

NXT UK is a subsidiary of NXT, just like 205 Live is. The Cruiserweight Title is the main (only) title of 205 Live, but is also defended on NXT and NXT UK.

The UK Title is the main title of NXT UK, but is also defended on the main NXT brand as well (remember, the UK Title started on NXT before NXT UK got up and running).

The UK and CW Titles are the main titles of their respective subsidiary brands, but are also defended on the main NXT brand as well.

As NXT UK and 205 Live are both considered parts of the NXT orbit, any titles from those subsidiary brands that also get defended on the "mother brand" should be considered as shared.

That isn't unreasonable.

And the hypothetical of "what if a Raw Title gets defended on SD or vice versa?" doesn't apply, as those are considered separate brands. NXT is the 3rd brand, and NXT UK and 205 Live are openly considered to be tentacles of it. So just like the CW Title, the UK Title is defended on "big" NXT, thus it is "part of the family".

Here's the issue, and you've done this multiple times in the past. When you see a champion appear on a different brand, you automatically assume that that championship is now available to that brand. Yes, that hypothetical "what if" completely applies here. Yes, NXT UK is a subsidiary of NXT, but within that hierarchy, NXT UK is mostly separate. There are occasional crossovers, but again, they are mostly separate. In regards to the championships, one-off title defenses don't mean it's a regular title for that brand. The CW title is open to those three brands as it's regularly defended among the wrestlers from those three brands. That is not the case with the NXT United Kingdom Championship (or the UK Women's, Tag Titles, and Heritage Cup for that matter). They should only be considered as "shared" titles IF they are regularly defended on the different brands or it is explicitly stated by WWE that the title is a shared title. The defense at Stand & Deliver was a one-off defense. --JDC808 14:26, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Tyler Bate is the final Champ?

edit

According to WWE.com, Bron is not the final Champ. He unified the titles, but Tyler is the last Champ. Same thing with Tag and Women's titles. So do we need to mark Bron's title reign as unrecognized? WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 00:12, 5 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

No. According to WWE.com, the reign ended with Bate. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:04, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
