Club career

• Rosický began his career at AC Sparta Prague, following his father Jiří and brother, also called Jiří who had previously represented the club: any years for either father or brother, caps, goals?
  • Added some insight into their playing days +ref, although caps are not readily available.
• Tomáš debuted for Sparta in 1998: from where? Academy, signed from another club?
  • Youth team, added ref.
• He scored five goals in the 1999–2000 season as the team won the league for the second year in succession.[4][5] He was named the "Talent of the Year" at the 1999 Czech Footballer of the Year awards.[5] Perhaps "He scored five goals in the 1999–2000 season as the team won the league for the second year in succession,[4][5] and as a result was named the "Talent of the Year" at the 1999 Czech Footballer of the Year awards.[5]"
  • No indication his five goals were the reason for receiving the award, would amount to WP:OR in my opinion.
• Dortmund: contract length (5 years)?
  • Added.
• Add a Bundesliga record cost from BBC ref you use?
  • Don't understand this, the article says "the most expensive player in Bundesliga history" so that is synonymous with being a record cost.
• the most expensive Czech player of all time: the ref says he was the "Czech Republic's most expensive footballing export", which seems different (to me)
  • Agreed; wording altered to reflect the source.
• being the first player to have a shot on target in the match: trivia?
  • removed.
• During his first two and a half seasons with the club, Rosický played 75 league matches, scoring nine goals and registering 20 assists: where are you getting this from?
  • Same ref that followed. Have made it inline for easier access.
• Rosický's reputation grew during his time at Dortmund and, during the latter stages of his spell at the club, Dortmund were in substantial financial trouble and could not hold onto him despite recognising his influence on the team.   • The score is not mentioned at the BBC article, which suggests to me that it is not important. Added "friendly" to wording.

• against Everton to give Arsenal a point: I'm not sure you need to say they got a point, you haven't for any of the other games he played in

  • Solitary means it was the only goal.

  • The Wikipedia article doesn't use capital T mid-sentence, but I am not sure, so I have reworded the sentence to avoid the issue.

Apoloogies for some of my more simple errors (only goal, asking for final score) and replying to my queries. The 'Club career' section all looks OK now.

• 'International career': I would prefer fewer 1 sentence paragraphs, but I don't think there's much you can do with it
• On 9 February 2011, he started in an international friendly match against Croatia at Stadion Maksimir, and scored a goal in the 45th minute in a 4–2 defeat: please source

• in a World Cup qualifier against San Marino: score?
  • Added.

• Announcing 2012's contract extension: "announcing Rosicky's 2012 contract extension"
• Single or double speech marks (" or '), as opposed to both
• Arsenal manager Wenger described Rosický as having "great technique, skill on the ball and sharp passing".[9] Upon signing a contract extension in 2010, Wenger called him a "special talent" and said "Tomas' vision and touch is remarkable".[38] Announcing 2012's contract extension, Wenger called him "technically top class".[51] Wenger said of Rosický: 'He is a real Arsenal man because he is here for a long time. [80] Here there are 5 Wenger quotes. This isn't really adding much, he's his manager, he's going to sing his praises (unless he's calling them old). Remove one or two at least and find some more neutral reviews I think

• He is reported to be a proficient guitarist, and has played live with Tři sestry.: he either is or isn't, what does the source say? Also, please can you say something about Tři sestry being a band?
• Rosický was able to hone his guitar skills during his 18 months on the sidelines because of his hamstring injury: perhaps merge with previous sentence?
• Is his playing at an awards ceremony not a little bit of trivia? That's all I think (bar a few queries regarding RS at WT:Wikiproject football). Once these are fixed, final read through and hopefully pass. I don't think I'll get Kingstonian ready in time for the end of this cup round, and I don't think I need the points but if I do I'll try and give you some warning. • Almost everything should be taken care of. The article doesn't specify the transfer fee that Arsenal paid, only that Arsenal signed "25-year-old Rosický on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee". Since it was undisclosed it seems worthless to list an estimated value. I will get on to referencing the honours tomorrow. Thanks, C679 20:55, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

    • Another suggestion was made at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#Queries. Directly source quote in lead, probably make Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has described him as a player with remarkable vision, precision and first touch. a quote.
