Protection
editI have protected this article against anonymous edits for a month. The same IP editor keeps on inserting the same change without any attempt at dialogue. This is too tiresome. --Alvestrand (talk) 09:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- It appears User:Bluegold1234 is the anonymous user from 59.152.90.* who had been trying to defame the singer for a long time that he/she tried again after you protected the article.--Musicmaniaz (talk) 15:53, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- He/she certainly is changing to the same target. Well, now he's got a talk page. --Alvestrand (talk) 08:30, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for watching this article. Now could any one provide a copy left image of Mila? Thanks --Smcbuet (talk) 06:33, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila new album - better reference?
editWRT Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila - thanks for supplying a reference with your new information! That's still something many people forget. But I'm afraid Wikipedia isn't all that fond of references in Bangla - and gogle translate isn't available for that translation yet.
Do you have a note from some English-language newspaper about it? --Alvestrand (talk) 07:46, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'll add as soon as I find it. Surprisingly, Daily Star hasn't covered it. --Smcbuet (talk) 10:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- Reference added --Smcbuet (talk) 10:17, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- Good. Do you also have a reference for the "became an instant hit" statement for the song from her second album? --Alvestrand (talk) 14:22, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- Reference added --Smcbuet (talk) 10:17, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Mila's official FB page
editI'm not sure if it should be added, so just leaving it in the talk page

Criticism
edit
Critics and music fans still complain that Mila is heavily dependent on technology (Vocoders/Auto-Tune). Many of her songs are based on other popular Bangla songs mixed with new tunes and instruments. Such as, one of her best hit songs "Komor Dulaiya" is based on the folk tune, "Iblis Shoitan".
this is undeniably true. But Mila is just a vocal singer. The music are composed by Fuad Al Muqtadir. 99% {Citation Needed} of his songs are plagiarized versions of some older Bangla or Hindi Music. So I find it inappropriate to add the criticisms here.
Thanks--Smcbuet (talk) 10:12, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's not unreasonable to cite the criticisms here, but *only if they have appeared in a reliable source* - in practice, for this kind of criticism, that means "in print, in a reputable newspaper or magazine". Similarly with charges of plagiarism against the composer - if someone has made them public, in a way that can be checked, Wikipedia can cite that - but if it's only what people are saying to each other, Wikipedia *cannot* say that - and probably shouldn't say it even on the talk page. --Alvestrand (talk) 20:20, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- I am sorry, but I cannot find any criticism in any established newspaper for Mila. If some one does please add them to the page. One more thing - the criticism should go to the criticism section, and not in the Career section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smcbuet (talk • contribs) 05:04, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Move/Merge
editThere was a merge request on this page and Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila, as the articles were about the same person a discussion isn't really necessary. I have since moved Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila here as it looks like this is the common name. The page Mila Islam was unreferenced so I kept the content from Tasbiha Binte Shahid Mila, which had three references. If the page should be moved back please start a renaming discussion. --kelapstick(bainuu) 16:41, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Article is not encyclopedic and looks like an advertisement
editEditors, guys please fix it. It is not neutral at all and reads like self-promotional material. Pingtobaul (talk) 08:01, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
A check just revealed that someone wrote a whole promo article and then random non related false sources were added (cited material was nowhere to be found in the given sources). No wonder it is such a mess. I am trying to make some clean ups, but guys please help if you can.Pingtobaul (talk) 08:28, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
