This article is not correct; they are not qahtanids, they don't merge with the Maan (instead they were suplanted by them) and, according Enciclopaedya of Islam there's other missing facts or missinterpreted fact. I suggest rewrite it partially.--88.7.188.53 (talk) 16:03, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't think https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tanukh_flag.svg is the flag of the Tanukhid tribal confederation, I think it's specifically the flag of the Mount Lebanon Tanukh clan. The source given here is Flags of the World, which cites Joseph Nehme's Le drapeau libanais: A Travers les Siècles, where he describes a "Tannoukhian Flag" as "[consisting] of 5 colors divided vertically in equal bands of white, blue, yellow, red and green". Without context, I can see why it would be hard to tell whether he's talking about the early Tanukhids or the Mount Lebanon Tanukhi, but the five stripes in this flag are very clearly the colors of the Druze religion. The Tanukhid confederation almost entirely predates Druze and was predominantly Christian and Muslim; the Mount Lebanon Tanukhi were very famously Druze. You can even see talk on the Flags of the World page confused about this as well. I believe that this flag should be on the page https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Buhturids, not here. I'm writing this before I change it so that it hopefully won't be reverted; if this is an improper use of the talk page, I apologize, and more experienced editors can feel free to remove this.
Edit: I have also reached out to the person responsible for the "Flags of the World" page this mistake seems to be coming from. With any luck it will be fixed there as well soon.Maviawon (talk) 19:58, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
