Merging suggestion
editAll other artist pages have their discographies on their own article pages, not on a separate page. Ice Cube should be no exception. δσώпҹ (talk)(cont) 12:39, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's not true, the big artist do have a seperate discography page, look for exemple here: Dr. Dre discography
It should be added!
editi think busta rhymes, ice cube, limp bizkit should have got an discography page... and it looks better so!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Football 7 (talk • contribs) 19:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC).

Could we have somewhere it writing all Ice Cube's Music Videos?? like Nas discography and Fat Joe discography includes it.Football 7 15:35, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Stop changing the certifications
editAmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, Kill at Will, Death Certificate, The Predator, Lethal Injection, War & Peace - Volume 1 (The War Disc) all went platinum and War & Peace - Volume 2 (The Peace Disc) went gold. All this information can be found here.[1] Laugh Now, Cry Later also went gold.[2] So stop changing it.Now it is platinum so i wish people would quite changing it. --Ted87 18:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

New style
editSpellcast, the new style u have made for the discography looks awful man... and btw. why did u remove all the facts about his collabo. discography with NWA, westside connection, da lench mob and etc...
- Do we really need to mention his album collabos with NWA, Westside Connection etc. when there's already separate pages for them? Check out the Gwen Stefani discography- a featured list. See how it doesn't mention her collabos with No Doubt. Also, the 50 Cent discography, which will probably be a featured list soon doesn't need to mention his collabos with G-Unit. Spellcast 21:43, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, the page wont look better if u do that, in that case make the same table as u have here to Snoop Dogg discography, Nas discography and Jay-Z discography also Xzibit discography Football97 12:46, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Most of his albums only made it on like two major charts, so I suppose a table may not be necessary. So would you prefer the albums to be listed like this?
Spellcast 16:34, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeh this one looks pretty good, it's just to undo all ur edits to earlier version so even his NWA, westside connection and them will be added Football97 18:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok I've added the list again with his album collabos. But I'm still not too sure his collabos are necessary. There isn't really a standard for discographies on Wikipedia, so I'll bring this up at Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/MUSTARD some time in the future. Spellcast 20:36, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I think the Wikitable format is the best, and as for the N.W.A., Westside Connection, Lench Mob albums, I guess they belong being that Cube is a member of those groups and thus are his albums. SameAsItEverWas

The Wikitable is redundant. What does the border add to the info? Also, there's no need to put his collaboration albums. There are separate pages for NWA, Westside Connection etc. Apparantly, there was an issue about this with all the Destiny's Child members. Apparantly, some hardcore DC fans wanted to keep the DC albums in their solo discographies. It was eventually decided to keep them out. I brought this up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Music/MUSTARD#Discographies. Feel free to discuss there. Spellcast 07:27, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
The collabo. adds information about his music career, only because a few others are with him there doesen't mean, the info shouldn't belong to his discography. But it should just be similar to pages like Nas discography or Eazy-E discography where it shows even their collab's. It's pretty necessary to add collabs as it belongs to the singers itself and please don't come and say the collab's shouldn't belong there because it should be look-a-like discography like pop singers "Gwen Stefani" or Britney Spears either anybody in the likes of them. Ice Cube is a rapper and legendary so he is far from being compared to the likes of this, and i saw u did even remove Cube's compilation albums. What's next? removing solo albums and nominate it for deletion? --Football97 09:55, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- But we have N.W.A#Discography, Westside Connection#Discography, and Da Lench Mob#Discography for a reason. It should probably be mentioned in a temporary "See also" section. I mentioned the Gwen Stefain discography because it's a featured list. I would like this to be a featured list too, so adding group albums is redundant. This article is about Ice Cube the solo artist, not NWA or Westside Connection. NWA, Westside Connection, and Da Lench Mob are over there. Ice Cube the solo artist is here. His singles table only mentions his solo work, so why should it be any different for his albums? Spellcast 11:12, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Well fair enough, u have ur own opinion. In that case we have Ice Cube#Discography, then this discography shouldn't be active as your saying. But some people know Cube for his NWA works so they would be intrested in this page to see the group' record sales, singles etc.. and BTW. i think the featured MV's section should have a better look because the "???" for director section is making it look shit and i dont think it's necessary to mention name of album that the song is coming from and it should be similar to his music videos section just adding an "Artist" section. Just suggesting it!!! but there are some brand unknown collabos this discography tells which i have never ever heard about such as collaboration with Dr. Dre and so on. --Football97 13:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
I made the featured music videos section look alot better. --97 Football 14:04, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Collaborative albums
edit@Spellcast: There are separate articles for NWA, WC and the others, but how are readers supposed to know that? It's important to leave a WP:HATNOTE. redirecting readers to them. DA1 (talk) 00:22, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @DA1: I suppose linking them in a "See also" section would be OK. Spellcast (talk) 05:58, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Spellcast: I was considering perhaps have a subheader titled "Collaboration albums" and just put the hatnotes there as {{main article}}, and maybe a short summary only listing the amount of albums in each. DA1 (talk) 06:02, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- @DA1: Well MOS:MUSIC#Discographies doesn't mention anything directly other than to say it should be split if the article gets too big. I probably won't stop you if you wanna do that, but it doesn't seem to be the standard practice. When you look at say Migos discography and each of its members, they're all in separate articles with a See also section. Spellcast (talk) 06:16, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Spellcast: I added a See also section. DA1 (talk) 06:38, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

editi remember hearing that they sold these at a swap meet originally, this did not chart or receive certification, so i'm removing the unnecessary empty stats below the entry. --AlexOvShaolin 23:07, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
With Dr. Dre
editDo those albums that he did with Dr. Dre that are listed on the page even exist? I can't find them anywhere.SameAsItEverWas 17:32, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- They may be not-official albums, bootlegs, or even mixtapes that Ice Cube was just a featured guest. I will try to find a source, if not, I may consider removing that information. Thanks for the tip.--Tasc0 21:47, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- If I would ever find a source or even a single thing about it with tracklisting I would have eventually created articles for them. Woop-Woop That's the sound of da Police 19:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Gold Certification

Orphaned references in Ice Cube discography
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Ice Cube discography's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
