Talk:Sepsis thoracica

I think this article provides a great foundation for information on this fly! I modified some pieces of the article to better fit Wikipedia guidelines, and introduced three new sources. The three new sources contained, for the most part, information that is already included in the article. However, I included these additional citations regardless to provide readers with multiple sources to reference. In addition, I clarified some terms that might be difficult for first-time readers to understand (e.g. amphipneustic and heliophilic), and added a few additional internal links on the page. I also corrected one typo, and changed one contraction to its full form.

I found information in one other source which seemed to challenge the information presented on the page, that the flies feed from horse dung. I included this source, but I would definitely be curious to see the original source on this information and cross-check, to determine which source contains truly accurate information. Best of luck with future work on the page! AnuBalasubramanian (talk) 21:43, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

This article was a nice introduction into Sepsis thoracica. Most of your headings covered all the bases of insects, such as habitat, mating, and even enemies. I think you have a solid number of headings right now. My only suggestion would be to continue adding to make them even more cohesive and all encompassing. This is a good article on an interesting fly! I noticed that the last sentence in the Description section is incomplete, so that may need to be fixed in the future. I made minor edits, like changing millimeters to mm for consistency, adding °C, and fixing some grammar. I then italicized Sepsis thoracica for consistency throughout the references section. Nice Job! --Mmhua (talk) 23:05, 3 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
