Maiden voyage before launch and completion dates?
editHow can the ship sail on its maiden voyage (20 Aug. 1947) before it was launched (12 Dec. 1947)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beyenklu Sif (talk • contribs) 17:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

SS Lavia → RMS Media – Per WP:NCSHIPS, this article should be named for its service in Cunard which it is most notable for. It caught fire during conversion and never even sailed as Lavia. We don't have articles titled Seawise University or SS Blue Lady. Ironmatic1 (talk) 04:01, 4 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 19:06, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Comment yet it was seemingly Flavia for the longest period of time, and the section of the article on Flavia is the longest - any ngram stats? Stan traynor (talk) 20:48, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- Here's Ngram and here's trends, nothing at all for SS Flavia apparently. Though it's skewed for RMS Media from a company of the same name, there are a few books on the topic of travel mentioning the ship. Ironmatic1 (talk) 09:11, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. There's absolutely no parallel to Seawise University or SS Blue Lady (follow those links if you want some amusement). Any one of several names would do equally well for this article, including the current one, just so long as we have redirects from the others (probably section redirects). Let us move on.
