What should ideally be in this article?

edit

Hi, it seems you have removed essential parts from the above article. All that remains now is an outline of the plot (and even that is incomplete because the beginning is missing). Could you please reconsider your decision? All the best, <KF> 15:02, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate your message, but I stand by my edits. There is no need for a synopsis and a plot summary, and there was too much commentary and speculation in the article. Thanks. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 15:47, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, you do not seem to have fully grasped my original statement. What remains after your edits is an incomplete article on several counts. The plot summary starts with "Barbara," but we do not know who she is. Also, what will happen next is that someone will tag the article as unfinished or as a mere stub or whatever and certainly as lacking links to other pages. For example, what is the point of de-linking School and university in literature?
I'm glad you are self-confident, but I do hope other users will react differently and will want to see some further changes to the text.
Best wishes, <KF> 18:10, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
It would be best if this discussion took place on the article talk page. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 20:50, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well then, some more opinions, please. <KF> 21:25, 20 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Not a great article

edit

I'm not a contributor to Wikipedia so I'm not in a great position to say what is and what isn't a good article but, every time I finish a book, I like to read it's Wikipedia entry and, in this case, I found it quite poor. There were a lack of references, I felt the article was more literary than factual and the whole thing seemed to lack the cold hard gaze an encyclopedia entry should have. Characters' names

edit

What is the rationale for using first or surnames? It looks suspiciously like first names for women/girls and surnames for men/boys. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snugglepuss (talkcontribs) 20:07, 4 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
