North Korea and the Russian invasion of Ukraine → North Korean involvement in the Russian invasion of Ukraine – Per the Belarusian involvement in the Russian invasion of Ukraine precedent. Both Belarus and North Korea have some degree of belligerence, a fact that is recognised by the infobox at Russian invasion of Ukraine. And for sure, North Korea is more involved in the war against Ukraine than Belarus is.
Other country-specific articles related to the invasion (United States and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Lithuania and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Iran and the Russian invasion of Ukraine) are for countries that we consider as not involved enough so as to mark as cobelligerant for either side. North Korea, as the third and last country with soldiers in the ground in this war, shouldn't be among these and treated differently from Belarus in this regard. North Korean evolvement in direct fighting seems tenuous.
editRight now we basically have a Ukrainian and a US mystery "official" saying this fight between Ukraine and the DPRK happened. But there is really no video evidence or any other evidence at all. I am not satisfied that this event actually involved Korean troops. I think until and unless some other evidence shows up, or some other engagements with North Koreans occur we should change the language of this to be speculative. I follow this war very closely, and though DPRK direct involvement was widely reported as eminent for 2 weeks, no evidence ever surfaced. NYT is a good source, but all they are doin here is passing on the word of unnamed "officials". Not really to the highest standard of journalism is it. 58.84.239.106 (talk) 09:33, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
- This is why I seriously doubt any western media and official claims of north Korean soldiers in ukraine because all of them were only worded claim not actual visual evidence such as north Korean soldier in Russian uniform clearly speaking Korean with north Korean accent. Claim like these are also racist since Russia have large numbers of asian minorities that have look similar to east asians. NATO and any officials had also "confirmed" nothing like how it was written in other Wikipedia articles since they didn't present any evidence at all. Until there is sufficient photographic and video evidence, fo Dauzlee (talk) 02:55, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- for now any claim without concrete evidence treated carefully
