- The date on Wikipedia matches the date on imdb. Can you find a source that has the correct date?--Commander Keane (talk) 08:53, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Chin Han (actor, born 1969) → Ng Chin Han – WP:Natural and WP:Recognizability, full name, a lot easier to remember/recognize than year of birth. I believe he's only credited as "Chin Han" in America (where "Ng Chin Han" is bound to generate more confusions than necessary, considering how much the general population knows about Chinese names), back in Singapore he's credited as "Ng Chin Han", see e.g. [1]. Another option is Chin Han (Singaporean actor), but he's based in America and there's always a possibility of naturalization. Timmyshin (talk) 16:16, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- Move to Chin Han (Singaporean actor) per WP:COMMONNAME. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:26, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support Ng Chin Han per Wp:MONONYM —
don't use a first name (even if unambiguous) for an article title if the last name is known and fairly often used
— and nominator. (Also worth pointing out even if it's not a big deciding factor: at two letters and a space, the surname is much more Wp:CONCISE than any other possible disambiguator.) 210.6.254.106 (talk) 10:11, 25 April 2016 (UTC) - Support original proposal. Let's get this over with already. If not, MTV uses his name. Straits Times, Cinema Online, Venture Capital Post, and The Independent (Singapore) also do that. Moscow Times refer the name to unrelated producer/director, but we'll get to that someday. George Ho (talk) 18:37, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Disambiguation by full name is greatly preferred, and completely so noting that it is his name as credited in his home country. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:06, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

Ng Chin Han → Chin Han (actor, born 1969) – Per WP:COMMONNAME. A vast majority of his film credits are American and thus credited as Chin Han. This makes it his common name and thus the article should exist there. Rusted AutoParts 02:18, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per first RM. The rationale given above didn't consider the best method of disambiguation which is the main issue here. As mentioned in the first RM, surnames are a preferred disambiguator per WP:NATURAL. I remember we also moved Jessica (entertainer) to Jessica Jung and Jessica (singer) to Jessica Folcker, even though neither uses their surname professionally. Timmyshin (talk) 04:07, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. No reason to challenge the strong consensus of little more than a year ago. All the arguments given then still apply. Andrewa (talk) 05:00, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Ng Chin Han → Chin Han (actor, born 1969) – It’s been two years since the last RFC, and my argument for WP:COMMONNAME still stands. The sense of disambiguation I think isn’t one that applies. The average reader seeking the actor searches Chin Han. He wasn’t credited with Ng Chin Han in a multitude of films he has been in. The (actor, born 1969) tag amply identified this Chin Han without causing confusion. Rusted AutoParts 05:10, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:MONONYM, WP:NATURAL, and WP:CONCISE. Disambiguation by birth year should be a last resort - people don't know birth years, they go to Wikipedia to look up birth years. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 12:13, 9 October 2019 (UTC) (note: I'm the same editor as 210.6.254.106 from the original debate)

- Late, but IPs argument makes zero sense. Search results would produce the different Chin Han’s. Rusted AutoParts 04:45, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
- Can you explain exactly on which of the WP:NAMINGCRITERIA you think your proposed title is superior to the current one (noting in particular that WP:COMMONNAME is not the only naming criteria)? 59.149.124.29 (talk) 14:59, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Ng Chin Han → Chin Han (actor, born 1969) – Still WP:COMMONNAME. It’s purely confusing for readers looking for him and at this point dishonest to keep the article hosted at the present location. An argument could even be made he is the primary topic when it comes to the Chin Han name as a whole. As it stands, he identifies as Chin Han. his official Twitter is Chin Han. His official Instagram is Chin Han. The article needs to be at Chin Han. Rusted AutoParts 14:57, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. Wikipedia lists actors by their stage names and subject's stage name is "Chin Han". He is credited as Chin Han in IMDb and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). The key element, however, is his on-screen billing which, as can be seen in Skyscraper, is Chin Han. Moreover, his own use of "Chin Han" on social media is proof of personal preference. In fact, taking his star status into account, I would support Ng Chin Han → Chin Han and Chin Han → Chin Han (disambiguation), if such nominations were to be proposed. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:11, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
