editWhat is the name of the article? Naveenpur or Mahanpur. Title says Naveenpur whereas the body of article says Mahanpur. It is confusing.–Kammill ⟨talk⟩ 14:46, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Both names Hindian1947 (talk) 20:29, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

- Yes, good idea. Hindian1947 (talk) 05:00, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

- @Hindian1947 and Kammill:I don't see any mention of "Naveenpur" when I search "Naveenpur Kathua" in the Google (news) as well as in the the census source, but I see 10 hits for "Mahanpur Kathua". I don't think Naveenpur is the WP:COMMONNAME, any govt. circular or sources that mentions this change of name.? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:01, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fylindfotberserk, I think the actual name of the town is Dhar Mahanpur or simply Mahanpur. If we see the census handbook of Kathua district and compare the population and etc. things, we will get the same value. If you search the Google Maps about Naveenpur, it redirects to the Mahanpur. All this shows that Naveenpur and Mahanpur are the same town in Kathua district. –Kammill ⟨talk⟩ 05:45, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Kammill: Then 'Mahanpur' is the WP:COMMONNAME and we should move the article back to that name. I didn't find any reference for Naveenpur in the Google news tab, and nothing about the name being changed. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 05:51, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fylindfotberserk, yes. We should move the article to Mahanpur and make Naveenpur a redirect to it. –Kammill ⟨talk⟩ 05:55, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fylindfotberserk, the page was moved on 22 January 2021 by Hindian1947. –Kammill ⟨talk⟩ 05:59, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Kammill: I agree. It was an unsourced + undiscussed move. I'll move it back. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 06:07, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fylindfotberserk, yes go for it. –Kammill ⟨talk⟩ 06:15, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
