Am I right in saying that the foreign players in the hall of fame have all played in the United States, particularly the NASL? Pele and Beckenbauer would certainly fit into that category - I don't recognise any other non-Americans in the list. sjorford 15:50, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Page name

edit

page belongs at "National Soccer Hall of Fame and Museum" not "National Soccer Hall of Fame". Page names should use actual names, not common names.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Willsketch (talkcontribs) 22:27, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The name should also be changed to "U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame".--Jersey Devil 03:33, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I believe that the name should be changed to "National Soccer Hall of Fame". That is the actual title as referenced on the official website and ussoccer.com. ~ Fopam (talk) 20:19, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Soccerhall.gif

edit

Image:Soccerhall.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:21, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Builders inducted????

edit

Are plumbers and electricians also eligible? Are there soccer players in the construction inustry's hall of fame in the spirit of reciprocation? Or is this just a case of cliché and informal language being placed inappropriately as a heading? Kevin McE (talk) 20:18, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Career assets"? "Facilitators"?
The term "builders", might be a tad un-encyclopaedic.--80.203.102.99 (talk) 20:45, 31 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
What does it even mean or indicate? It might be well-known to those familiar with the subject, but seems like needless jargon to the unfamiliar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.216.228.112 (talk) 00:10, 29 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Year of birth: Glenn Warner, Navy

Can anyone help me with the year of birth of Glenn Warner of the Naval Academy team? (I need the info, to finish an article about him.)--80.203.102.99 (talk) 20:40, 31 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

New NSHOF photos

edit

The NSHOF entrance photo was pretty dark and the name wasn't clear, so I took the opportunity in Frisco to take some new photos of it, and added one as the infobox photo. There are a few other photos I've uploaded, which are available also:

I just now uploaded these, but they're from June (around the time the HOF reopened). The NSHOF face mask was something they've been putting on the statue, I thought it was interesting to capture before they stopped, since it's a COVID timeframe specific thing.

Hello all, any objections to replacing the long list under the "Inductees" heading with just a link to the List of members of the National Soccer Hall of Fame? The List seems fairly well maintained, is already linked in the "References" section, and is formatted better. RockRiverTree (talk) 15:48, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
