editEach citizen travels 220 times each year? I don't think so. That would be true IF the metro served only and strictly the city of Bilbao. The metro serves: Bilbao (350,000), Barakaldo (100,000), Getxo (85,000),Sestao(35,000),Leioa(25,000),Erandio(24,000),Etxebarri (10,000) That's a total of 630,000, so the actual rate is more like 120 trips, which is a great rate but not an exagerated one.David 14:03, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
editTranslation from Spanish article
editThe recent additions from the Spanish Wikipedia are welcome but take in mind that:
- This is English Wikipedia, so naming and style conventions apply: No icons when text is needed, English names when possible.
- Although the Spanish article is very good, it is far from perfect, so any information that replaces existent data must be verified. The daily ridership number is obviously WRONG in the Spanish article, as a 87 million anual passenger number is IMPOSSIBLE to turn into a 2 million daily number. Please, verify information before plainly translating. David (talk) 09:59, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Requested move 28 May 2022
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Moving would correctly reflect the article's scope (it's about the system, not one of the companies operating it). (non-admin closure) — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 17:50, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Metro Bilbao → Bilbao metro – "Metro Bilbao" is the name of the company that operates lines 1 and 2. The system as a whole is commonly known as "Bilbao metro" ("Metro de Bilbao" in Spanish, "Bilboko metroa" in Basque). Since this would be a descriptive title, the "m" in "metro" should probably go in lowercase (as in Stockholm metro). In case the move goes ahead, the articles about the lines and the stations would have to be moved too. Santi2222 (talk) 22:30, 28 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. >>> Extorc.talk 06:13, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
