Title change

We should change this to "List of universities and colleges in Vietnam." Badagnani (talk) 21:31, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Hue University

From looking at the website of Hue University, it appears to me that the different colleges are operating units of the university, rather than separate institutions as suggested in the current version of this list. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 08:10, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Article organization

I started a modest reorganization of this list, adding subcategories based on the three major types of institutions included under higher education in the Education in Vietnam article. I think helps organize what otherwise is a wieldy list. Much room remains for improvement. I believe there are some duplicate listings -- see the entries under "Other" all the way at the bottom. And I'm not sure the "Largest" and "Other" categorization makes sense, under "Public Universities". Would it make sense to organize it not so much by size but rather by comprehensive institutions, institutions with a particular focus, etc.? Other thoughts & suggestions for making this list more useful and logical most welcome! DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 13:22, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Reorganization partially accomplished. Substantial room for further restructuring, though. From what I've been reading, my impression is that there is a small number of very large, comprehensive universities in Vietnam. These are probably all included in the first category, "Large public universities". But some institutions presently in that category probably would not be included as such. It's unclear to me how or where to best categorize the military academies. Should they be in a completely separate category? Or even a separate List of military academies in Vietnam? Merge section on Vietnam military academies with related article?

Did find an article close to what I had in mind, Vietnamese military academies. It is already rather list-like. I would suggest that the related section from this article be merged into that article (and dropped from this one?). At the very least, they should be consistent. Foreign universities

I´m not sure if the list of foreign universities has official universities (only) or (in part) private education firms. Last ones should be removed because it would be misleading. --F.Blaubiget (talk) 07:30, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
