turning list to a table to add more data such as common names and typical potency

A the moment, each mushroom in the list has a person's name next to it and I have no idea why. I'm not interested in those people's names. I would firstly like to see common names listed beside the botanical names so that the list can be searched for common names. I would then love to see the total potency, as a percentage of weight, listed as well.

If the potency is listed in the column of a table, one could click on the column heading and sort the list by potency.

Dear Sir, This is the first time I have edited anything and my intention is nothing but love and universal care and acknowledgement.

My personal view is that I would like the names of the person's that found the mushrooms and would like that these people make their own pages that could help to shed light on said person's processes that led them to the finding the mushrooms.

Hi Trickyjeffries -

The names are the people who published the species, sometimes followed by the people who moved the species into its current genus in parenthesis. This is the correct way to refer to a species of mushrooms - if the names of the authors are omitted the mushroom being referred to can be ambiguous, as sometimes various people publish the same name invalidly. The potency varies a lot from one mushroom to the next even in the same species, and also depends on how they are stored - so adding potency data wouldn't be as useful as it may seem. Widely variable potency information is available for most species, and there is no "correct" answer to how potent each species is. Many species have many different common names and many species have no common name, so adding common names would be messy and not very useful.
