Alphabetization ignoring leading indefinite articles
edit@Nisf: In case you wanted to implement this kind of sorting on this page at least for the English-language shows, I wouldnt object, as this page (and its pair with the filmns) follows a different structure than the Netflix one. Here English-language shows are more clearly separated from non-English language shows. Seprentyu (talk) 10:57, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. It would really only be for upcoming programming, as the current and ended programming are already sorted by premiere date. Netflix also largely has alternate English-language titles for non-English-language shows, so the sorting would just be followed on the English-language names. Nisf (talk) 12:15, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
Dancing with the Star
editDancing with the Stars season 32 is simulcast on ABC and Disney+.
Doctor Who
editIt currently seems that Disney has co-produced Doctor Who since 2023, yet this page sees it as being "exclusive international distribution". With the EID section being split into series and the four Doctor Who specials, this page would need some restructuring to list that it is a co-production with BBC One. I suggest that we swap the co-productions and EID sections, so the article can list shows and specials that are co-productions, while EID is part of "Regional original programming" and only lists shows. - Do you have a source that Doctor Who is an actual co-production, rather than a situation where Disney+ has purchased exclusive rights to broadcast the show outside of the UK? Nisf (talk) 13:19, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

- The people in the talk page appear to agree that Disney is a co-producer. Inpops (talk) 16:02, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, looks like they provided sources. I will move the series to co-productions, but will let others decide what to do with the specials. Nisf (talk) 16:05, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

- We can move the specials too to the regional original programming block then and do the same that has been done to hulu specials that are co-productions - mark this fact with an efn. Seprentyu (talk) 13:59, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Seprentyu Surely it's also possible for EID to be moved so it appears under ROP? Inpops (talk) 16:33, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- No, because the 2 are different things. EID are not Disney+-produced or commissioned shows, therefore not originals, only bought for distribution or were labelled as Disney+ Originals due to other reasons (mainly because Hulu was not wholly Disney-owned yet and they could not premiere these on Hulu in the US, but shows had their premiers on the Star Hub and were labelled as Star Originals in other countries - or another case is Moon Girl which is an excl. distr. in Singapore and the UK because Disney Channel was decommissioned there and show has its first screening on the service). ROPs are Disney+-produced or commissioned. Ideally exclusive distributions should have their separate page, but the quantity is not so big yet, thats why they are still present on this page.Seprentyu (talk) 16:35, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Removed Shows
editPropose to move all the removed shows into their own table separate from shows that are still on the service 2600:1700:5B20:7180:145E:2421:5384:552D (talk) 00:37, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Until the table gets too long/unwieldy, it's fine as is. Rusted AutoParts 02:06, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
