Liebe Macht Monster → Liebe macht Monster – correct capitalisation. in german, verbs arent capitalised. see also their band page: https://www.eis-brecher.com/album/liebe_macht_monster.html -- FMSky (talk) 14:09, 29 May 2022 (UTC)— Relisting. Spekkios (talk) 01:25, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). DanCherek (talk) 23:00, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- The website you linked shows that capitalized Macht is correct as we already have it. Rmhermen (talk) 23:18, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Rmhermen: it doesnt, look at the track list please. where did you even look, at the all-caps headline or what? --FMSky (talk) 08:06, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Look at the press release section, it lists "Liebe Macht Monster" nine times. [1] Rmhermen (talk) 17:30, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- Contesting. This should also be capitalised per English Wikipedia conventions, which is all caps unless it's a short preposition etc. — Amakuru (talk) 16:34, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- This only applies to English-language titles --FMSky (talk) 16:37, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Well either way, sources commonly render it all capitalised, there is no reason to deviate. And we are the English Wikipedia not the German, so we don't have to honour German naming rules for proper names. — Amakuru (talk) 16:43, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- I've just looked at a pile of similar articles, and we do seem to be respecting the German capitalisation for most of these articles. I agree with Rmhermen and Amakuru that this is the English Wikipedia and that some of the sources show it all capitalised, but that's definitely not all the sources, and I do feel that FMSky may indeed have a point. And I feel uneasy about rejecting this proposal outright. Shall we do an RM about it? Dr. Vogel (talk) 17:30, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- That doesn't make sense. Changing capitalisation in German can change the meaning (like now), so of course it should be followed. 2001:718:2:22:0:0:0:52 (talk) 08:57, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

- Comment: note that every of the official chart pages (1, 2, 3) as well as the official band page (see above) list it as lowercase ---FMSky (talk) 23:32, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

- Comment. As a German, my opinion: The album's title can be interpreted in two ways. Liebe macht Monster as "Loves makes Monsters" as well as "Liebe Macht Monster" (Love, Power, Monsters). So because of that, this could be the intention why "Macht" is in Caps. It's deliberate to let the listener decide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8071:A5B8:F000:EC55:D7CD:3470:813C (talk) 14:52, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- but then there would have to be commas... imo the lowercase "macht" is the "standard" interpretation and should probaby be the article's name. the way it currently is, its just grammatically incorrect --FMSky (talk) 21:46, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
