Redirecting related bike here
editI redirected KTM RC390 here and did the same with Honda CBR250R (2011), redirecting Honda CBR300R there. In both cases, the newer version is only different from the other in small ways. Longer stroke on the Honda, and new fairing on the KTM. Allegedly the frame is different, but it looks identical in every detail in photos. The fork rake supposedly changed but appears to be 25° in both. Not sure if the engine is tuned the same; appears to be. We'll see shortly when full reviews are out.
Anyway, I think reading about both models in one article serves the reader best. It's the best way to follow the development chronology, and the quantity of content won't be excessive. Might be better to move the Honda to Honda CBR250R and CBR300R, an ungainly but useful title. KTM 390 series is a possibility too. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 05:23, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

- The article contains content reflecting what sources existed at the time it was written. The bike was released in its home country a full year before Europe and, even later, the US, so the content is based on published information that first appeared in the Indian press. The cooling problems appeared in the Indian market and were fixed in the Indian market before Americans ever saw the bike. Later reviews trickled in from US publications and we added those, but they didn't bring in any new facts: the wheelbase and horsepower and 0 to 60 time were unchanged from what the Indian reviewers noted. The only new piece of information to add was that the bike's position relative to the rest of the market was different in each market, so that was noted. So now that the Duke and RC have been around for a couple years, is there any reason to go back and replace what we have with non-Indian sources just because, what? We don't like India? I don't see a reason.
We should keep what we have and expand the article with updated information from several comparison test articles that have been published recently, given that (in the US) the 390 series has been followed by a number of new bikes in this range.

It's an Austrian brand, selling a bike worldwide. It's not a model for India only. Why would you suggest that I don't like India? Asking for articles to reflect an worldwide perspective is not the same as disliking a nation, I would say the same about any article about a product available worldwide, that only reflected the perspective of one nation. - If you want to make the article have a worldwide perspective, you are free to add material. You have no justification for going around nuking well-sourced information merely because you don't like it. This is not acceptable. We have lots of articles where we mention that a bike was given some US magazine's bike of the year award, without mentioning any other countries. Should we delete all of those too? - No, that is a violation of policy. See WP:NPOV which points to Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view/FAQ#Anglo-American_focus. You have no justification for running around deleting mention of India. If you want to expand the article to mention attention given to this bike in Europe, or the US, then you can certainly expand it. But you don't go around nuking non-US information and calling that balanced. You're doing the opposite.
Besides that, the 390 series is primarily an Indian and emerging market bike. They sell ten times as many of these bikes in India as in the west. Even if we didn't have the neutrality policy, we would of course give most of our coverage of a product in the product's largest, most important market.

I would not dream of requesting any action to be taken against another editor for differences of opinion on article content, but I will consider further action if you continue to make personal attacks and accusations of racism against me. And no, I think you're mistaking me for another editor, I am a pretty pushy editor, but I don't have a block (yet?) and I am trying to stay on the right side of the rules. - On another note, I took onboard your suggestion that expanding the article reflecting other markets is a good alternative to removing content, in other markets the production in India raised some issues regarding quality control, so I have put material from two sources, one of them praising the quality and one criticizing the quality. editKTM 390 Adventure finally breaks cover at EICMA 2019. KTM 390 Adventure engine specs same as 390 Duke. Features on the 390 Adventure include traction control, dual-channel ABS KTM 390 Adventure ground clearance is 200mm, seat height is 855mm! After a very, very long wait, KTM has finally unveiled the 390 Adventure! Based on the 390 Duke, the 390 Adventure features the same 373cc motor which produces 44PS and 37Nm of torque. The USD fork on the 390 Adventure is adjustable for compression and rebound and offers 170mm of travel; the monoshock is adjustable for rebound and preload and offers 177mm of travel. The 390 Adventure offers 200mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 855mm. It features traction control, dual-channel ABS and a TFT display, with all-LED lighting.[1]
