This sentence clause does not show NPOV, in my opinion, "Following the arrival of British colonials in 1904, when the Hausa people were forced into Western-style education systems by their colonial masters."
It sounds like a schools system was created and attendance made compulsory. This is common in lots of countries whether colonized or not. If the writer really wanted to comment on the replacement of the Ajami script with Latin characters, referencing reliable sources, and the effect on Hausa society, that would provide our readers with useful information.
